About
The Story of a Writer in the Sixth Grade
Being a fire sign and double Scorpio Moon and Rising (fierce, I know), it was inevitable that I would bring an intense passion to my career. After dreaming of being a writer since the sixth grade, I dedicated myself to this specific creative path with my first collection of short stories. They were about my favourite thing at the time: sled racing dogs.
The UBC Days
When I enrolled at UBC, I moved on from sled dog racing and started writing about my other favourite topics: pop culture and music. At Discorder, they even gave me my own column called “The Grumbler” where I would voice my opinions on various cultural gripes.
The Obligatory Internship Period
After I graduated from UBC, I then went on to pursue an internship at Metro News where I wrote various lifestyle features about music and the local arts scene. I even got to interview one of my favourite mash-up artists at the time: Girl Talk.
BMOB (Being My Own Boss)
In 2011, I opened up my own content agency in Vancouver, BC where I could continue writing about the things I love: food, health and wellness, fashion, beauty, fitness, pop culture.
Where I’m At Now
In 2018, I relocated to Toronto so I could be the Content Manager for the renowned print and online publication DINE Magazine (USA and Canada). Now that I have completed my rewarding time at DINE, I am back in my hometown of Kelowna, BC doing what I do best: writing for the masses about all the latest lifestyle trends. Currently, I am taking on a small client list in various lifestyle industries.
I work with clients in these specific industries:
Food and Beverage
Hospitality
Fashion
Fitness
Pop Culture (Books, movies, TV, etc…)
Intersectional Feminism
LGBTQIA2S+
Health and Wellness
House and Home
Music
Arts
Beauty and Makeup
If you don’t see your industry listed, feel free to still get in touch with me, and we can determine if working together would be a good fit for us both.
